Using Evaluation Systems to Purchase Alpacas ~ Students will use hands-on techniques to evaluate alpacas.

Understanding & Setting Your Herd Goals ~ Both new and experienced breeders benefit from a better understanding of personal herd goals.

Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) ~ In-depth understanding of EPDs and how to use them in breeding programs.

Brett Kaysen has been an influence in the alpaca community on many levels since 2001 when he brought his professional animal science background to the alpaca livestock industry. He travels coast-to-coast teaching seminars on alpacas. Brett also holds an instrumental position with the AOBA Judges Training Program where he teaches Oral Reasons and Conformation.

Certified in both IAJS and AOBA as a halter, fleece and performance judge, David has judged over 20 shows in the US and Canada. David now works full-time in the alpaca industry dividing his time between his ranch, volunteering on the AOBA board and teaching seminars. In 2006 together with his wife Brenda they started ACE, Alpaca Continuing Education, which provides cutting edge training and education for the alpaca breeder.
